For Reviewers
Peer review helps the editors assess the scientific quality, reliability and significance of a manuscript and provide authors with useful scholarly feedback.
- Assess scientific novelty, the correctness of the problem formulation, the soundness of the methods and conclusions, the completeness of the reported results, and the manuscript fit with the journal scope.
- If the manuscript lies outside your expertise or a conflict of interest exists, inform the editorial office before preparing the review.
- Keep the manuscript, review materials and editorial correspondence confidential; do not use unpublished results for personal advantage or share the materials with third parties.
- Make comments specific, reasoned and constructive. The recommendation to the editors should follow from the scientific arguments presented rather than from a summary rating alone.
Confidential comments intended only for the editor should be clearly separated from comments that may be shared with the author.
